The New York Giants might have found their future quarterback in Jaxson Dart , a future running back in Cam Skattebo , and a veteran head coach to lead the way in John Harbaugh. But this is still a franchise languishing at the back of the pack, managing to go over its preseason win total just twice in the last 15 seasons while averaging only five wins per season since 2017.
The Giants have been the underdog in 31 games over the last two years, tied with the Panthers for the most in the NFL, yet their 14-20 ATS record speaks to how underwhelming they've been in even the lowest of expectations. Here's hoping the new guard can start nudging things in the right direction.

--> 2026 outlook: Injury risks of dynamic trio tempers optimism The Giants find themselves in an interesting situation of being both a better team on paper via their offseason additions, while still being an enigma for the 2026 season. The team hit a home run with the hiring of Harbaugh, who is expected to help grow their young, athletic quarterback.
Harbaugh also helped bring TE Isaiah Likely into the fold to play the Mark Andrews role in his offense. Add to that a nice draft and the maturation of a few of their current young pieces and you can easily see the reason for optimism.
The problem, however, isn't optimism. It's realism.
Dart has shown significant injury risk, as has Skattebo, as has WR Malik Nabers . With so many uncertainties tied to their offense, it's tough to feel confident betting on their win total this season, unless you like rolling the dice and letting the chips fall as they may.
-- Daniel Dopp Best bet: Cam Skattebo 8+ rushing TDs (+165) Speaking of rolling the dice, that's exactly what we're doing here. If the Giants improve as expected, it means their young corps (or at least two of the three) is healthy.
Out of the group, give me Cam to punch it in the end zone 8-plus times on the ground as a prop to play. Harbaugh should continue to find ways to keep his young QB upright while leaning into the battering ram that is his running back.
Improved offense plus better coaching should equal more goal-line opportunities for Skattebo. -- Dopp
